Today there are many ways to self-promote. With many social networking websites and video-posting sites available, tools for promoting ones career can be administered through high-speed internet connection. I would like to share with you a couple of self-promotional tips to assist you with getting your word out. Success is defined by preparation meeting opportunity. First, write a bio about yourself or your band. Then get professional photographs taken and put them up on your website.
After you get these tools in place keep them updated regularly. Amend them often as new material or shows come up so you can build your web-based following. Also set up a blog for downloads. If you find that you need more than a web presence and are looking for distribution try checking out CD Baby. Other distribution avenues are www.tunecore.com or www.ingrooves.com. All of these sites are valuable ways to “Get the Word Out!” Good luck with building your career in the music industry. Enjoy the ride and keep on creating.
