AVID shows users a Technology Preview of what 2016 has in store for us by showing the new iPad based Pro Tools | Control Dock. The Dock is based on the workflow and technology based in the AVID S6 Console. With dedicated buttons that can be programmed to perform various functions, users will be able to get "hands-on" with Pro Tools like never before.
The dock not only works works as a stand-alone unit, it can also be partnered with an AVID S3 system to expand it's functionality with touch capable controls.
AVID states that the Dock will be available in the first part of 2016 with a street price around $1199. As we get closer to the actual release of the product we'll have a follow up review on the unit as well as a hands on workshop at our Atlanta Training Studio. Look forward to seeing you in our upcoming Pro Tools classes.
