With the release of Pro Tools 2019.6 AVID has introduced HEAT for all Pro Tools systems..
Once an option just for HD system users, HEAT allows you to add the harmonic character of analog consoles, vacuum-tube circuits, and analog tape into your mix. Developed for AVID by Dave Hill of Crane Song, HEAT stands for Harmonically Enhanced Algorithm Technology. The biggest thing that sets HEAT apart from other "analog" plug-ins is that it's Not a plug-in. It actually works across the entire Mixer of Pro Tools. You can only access the HEAT function from the lower right-hand corner of the Mix Window, it is not available in the edit window. To turn on HEAT, go to your Options Menu, at the very bottom you'll see "Activate HEAT", or you can also turn on the power button in the Mix Window HEAT view.
