Avid has just released Pro Tools 2019.10 which introduces new features such as 4K/UHD Video support, enhanced support for Dolby Atmos, Multi-Mix WAV Bounce, and a host of system improvements to help streamline your workflow.
Video Playback Improvements
With the release of Pro Tools 2019.10 you now have support for 4K/UHD and higher video playback allowing for more precise editing, and locking to picture. This new video engine feature comes directly from Avid Media Composer, which means that you can now import video directly into Pro Tools without having to transcode the video format or resolution.
Multi-Mix WAV Bounce
Another time-saving feature introduced is the ability to Bounce multiple stems into a single, Interleaved, WAV file. This reduces the complexity of delivering multi-channel, and surround mixes for final post.
Dolby Atmos Production Suite
Pro Tools 2019.10 introduces enhanced CoreAudio support giving you the ability to route up to 130 Channels using the Dolby Audio Bridge. This is a huge improvement over the previous limit of 32 channels. For HDX users you'll be happy to know that HDX is now fully compatible with Audio Bridge as an audio playback device.
