Avid has introduced the Pro Tools | MTRX Studio Audio Interface, a versatile, all-in-one, I/O with tons of Analog and Digital connectivity, as well as DANTE audio over IP. It can even handle speaker monitoring all the way up to Dolby Atmos.
At the recent NAMM show, Avid unveiled the latest addition to the family, the Pro Tools | MTRX Studio Audio Interface. Designed in conjunction with Digital Audio Denmark (DAD) the new MTRX Studio brings efficient and dynamic routing to your fingertips. Incorporating multiple channels of I/O, including 2 mic preamps, as well as dedicated monitor outputs, and scalability to handle Dolby Atmos 7.1.4 and beyond, this new interface will be the centerpiece of your Pro Tools HDX or HD Native studio system.
The MTRX Studio includes 16 channels of Analog I/O, as well as 2 addition inputs featuring DAD mic preamps switchable between mic/instrument. On the digital side, it features 16 channels of Digital I/O over ADAT Optical, and 64 channels of I/O over Dante. The interface connect to Pro Tools HDX and HD Native via Digilink connectors, allowing an additional interface to be daisy chained.
Included with the MTRX Studio is the SPQ speaker processing technology which allows you to tune your room for any audio environment, and switch between environments such as music and post, at the touch of a button. Not only can tune your speakers, you can also custom configure monitor profiles that can be recalled from the DADman software, or a control surface such as the Avid S1.
