2026 Grammy-Winning Engineer, Dani Perez Earned Dual Pro Tools Certifications
Dani Perez is no stranger to working on hit records. His engineering credits include many of the most iconic recording artists of modern era like Olivia Rodrigo, Doja Cat, Halsey, Bad Bunny, Shawn Mendes, Jon Batiste and dozens more. He currently works as an audio engineer at NYC's world-class facility, Electric Lady Studios.
Perez's rise from a 2021 Studio Assistant to 2026 Grammy-Winning audio engineer has not only proven his depth of creative talent, technical skills, mixing ears, and exceptional work as an audio engineer, but also his dedication, self-belief, work ethic, and commitment to professional growth.
Dani first studied audio technology at American University in Washington, D.C. in 2021, then continued his audio engineering education at ProMedia Training to advance, perfect and refine his Pro Tools skills.
In 2023, he completed ProMedia Training’s official Avid Pro Tools certification program—finishing Pro Tools 101, 110, 201, and 210M—and earned both Avid Pro Tools Specialist and the advanced Pro Tools Operator Professional certification, establishing his professional-level Pro Tools workflow.
Less than 10% of all Pro Tools Certified engineers worldwide even attempt Pro Tools Level II Professional Certification because of the intense difficulty of the curriculum and exam.
But Dani Perez, in his commitment to achieve technical excellence and set himself apart, successfully accomplished both.
