SSL Odyssey Console Rollout Brings Audio Engineering Community Together in Los Angeles 

Audio engineers and industry professionals gathered in Los Angeles for the SSL Odyssey console rollout on August 20, 2026.  The same week, ProMedia Training becaue the first SSL Certified Training Partner to also announce the launch of the first official SSL Music Mixing - Level 1 Certification in the U.S.

On August 20, 2026, audio engineers, producers, manufacturers and over 200+ professional  audio engineers gathered in Los Angeles for an up-close look at Solid State Logic’s Odyssey console.

The evening was more than a new-console demonstration. It brought together people from across the recording and mixing community to explore its workflow and reconnect with the kind of large-format console environment that has made Solid State Logic (SSL) one of the most recognized names in professional audio.

Even the hallways reflected the recording culture surrounding the event, with album artwork covering the floor and groups of engineers stopping between rooms to continue conversations.

One of the most interesting aspects of the evening was seeing the SSL environment positioned alongside Avid Pro Tools, rather than treating console mixing and DAW mixing as two separate worlds.
