Prerequisites
Specialist Certification or completion of PT101 + PT110. However, any person may attend PT201 + PT210P for personal enrichment with no required prerequisites.
Course Objectives (Pro Tools Professional Post Production)
Level II
In PT201, Students learn how to customize and optimize Pro Tools Ultimate systems to improve recording, editing, and mixing workflows. Through hands-on exercises, the course covers system resource optimization, I/O configuration, session navigation, color-coding, media management, advanced selection and auditioning techniques, clip gain, advanced automation, submixing, parallel processing, and professional mixing and finishing techniques for final mixdown.
Course materials include downloadable media files and Pro Tools sessions that support the exercises and projects throughout the text.
In PT210P, the course moves into more advanced Post Production topics such as:
* Synchronize Pro Tools Ultimate systems with HD-series hardware in a post-production environment
* Work with video inside Pro Tools
* Configure and use Pro Tools Satellite Link
* Complete file interchange workflows using Pro Tools
* Apply field recorder workflows
* Edit and re-record dialog in Pro Tools
